Modes of Instruction
Zoom ($60, first lesson FREE!):
This is the preferred method of instruction. It allows for easy connection with students who have demanding schedules or who live/travel outside the Bay Area. Most students are skeptical about taking zoom lessons; but by the end of our first lesson they are pleasantly surprised, and convinced. Even after society has reopened, most students opt to continue doing online learning over in-person.
I send videos to students who request them between sessions. The videos recap what we went through and act as an extra resource.
For students who want them, I create google docs to go along with during and in between sessions. On the google docs is information, URLs, exercises, etc.
In Person ($65, first lesson FREE!):
For those who live in the Bay Area (preferably around Oakland and Berkeley), in-person lessons are available. I am fully vaccinated and willing to social distance if that is preferred by the student. In-person lessons have the advantage over online learning in that jamming with students is an option. Learning to play along with another musician is an incredibly important part of being a guitar player. While this method is less convenient, it is always a plus to see friendly faces in person.

I print out sheets to go along with during the lesson. Students can take these home and go over them in between sessions if desired.
